Sareh Imani, Monsters Give Birth to Children 1, Felt-tip Pen on Canvas.


Sareh Imani (1986) is an Iranian-born multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her Work includes painting, sculpture, and installation through which she explores themes such as power relations, patriarchy, feminism and survival of the fittest. Imani is a member of an artist collective named “In Cahoots” who collaborate on different site specific projects in non gallery spaces in the city of Tehran, Iran. Over the last few years she exhibited her work in solo and group shows in different galleries, took part in artist residencies, and curated various exhibitions around the world. She currently studies fine arts in the graduate program at Parson school of design.
